Which applications are included in OnLIMS?
OnLIMS is a suite. OnWSH (Online Worksheet) is the electronic lab notebook: worksheets, methods and formulas, and direct instrument capture. OnQC/OnLQC runs statistical QA/QC. OnLAB (LabManager) covers the sample lifecycle, batch and routine jobs, chain of custody and reporting. LabData is a read-only client portal. OnConfig holds configuration, reference tables, roles and audit logs. Alongside them run OnCim (consumables and inventory), OnPrint (report and label designer), eWSH (touchscreen terminal), OnVirtualTrainer and BarcodeServer, plus OnQMS for accreditation evidence.
How is OnLIMS licensed?
Management modules — OnLAB, LabData and OnConfig — are licensed per site with unlimited users. Instrument modules — OnWSH and OnQC — are licensed per instrument. The first year of maintenance is included after go-live; afterwards an annual agreement at 18% of licence cost covers software updates, instrument drivers and IT support.
Does each workstation need a local installation?
No. OnLIMS is zero-install: the executables run from a shared folder, so an update means replacing files on the server rather than touching every workstation.
Can one installation serve several laboratories?
Yes. OnLIMS supports multiple databases selected at login, so a group can run several sites or several laboratories from the same deployment.
How are results exported to other systems?
Through automated Certificates of Analysis, crosstab and pivot views, and export to CSV, TXT, XLSX and XML. Integration with ERP and downstream systems is done by file or ODBC export — for example to SAP, Oracle, a PI historian or an aQuire geology database.
